Apple Aims to Sell 100 Million iPhone 16 Series Handsets: Report Reveals Impressive Sales Projections

Apple is gearing up for the launch of its highly anticipated iPhone 16 series, with estimates suggesting sales of 90 to 100 million units. To meet this demand, TSMC, the world’s leading contract foundry, is expected to produce 100 million A18 chipsets for the new devices. Here are some key details about the upcoming iPhone 16 series:

– Two variants of the A18 SoC will be built using TSMC’s advanced 3nm process node (N3E).
– The A18 application processor (AP) will power the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models.
– The A18 Pro AP will drive the more powerful iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max variants.

Notable features of the upcoming iPhone 16 series include:
– All four models will support Apple Intelligence and come equipped with 8GB of DRAM.
– Design changes between the A18 and A18 Pro chipsets will ensure that the latter is more powerful.
– The larger die size of the chipsets will accommodate a larger Neural Engine for enhanced AI capabilities.

While Apple is optimistic about selling up to 100 million units of the iPhone 16 series, industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has suggested that significant design changes may not occur until at least 2025. However, with the recent introduction of Apple Intelligence at WWDC, Kuo may revise his sales estimates as we approach the September release date.

Stay tuned for more updates on the latest developments in Apple’s upcoming iPhone lineup!
