Age-Old Processor Debate Finally Resolved: Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Unveils Latest Upgrades

Phones Canada: Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Processor Debate Finally Settled

Are you eagerly anticipating Samsung’s “next big thing?” While we’re still waiting for the Galaxy S24 family to be released, there’s another exciting Galaxy handset on the horizon. After months of leaks and reports, it seems like another puzzle piece has fallen into place.

In this article, we will address an important aspect regarding the Galaxy S23 FE that caused some controversy in the rumor mill. As you may know, not all S21 Fan Edition units were created equal. Some came with a Snapdragon 888 processor, while others featured a Samsung-made Exynos 2100.

Now, it’s no surprise that Samsung follows a similar strategy for the S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra. However, there were rumors suggesting that all S23 FE devices would opt for homebrewed Exynos silicon. But that’s no longer the case.

The “r11q” variant of the Galaxy S23 FE is now confirmed to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. On the other hand, the “r11s” model is expected to come with an Exynos 2200 SoC. Although the specific regions where these models will be sold are currently unknown, history suggests that European countries may receive the Exynos model, while the Snapdragon variant will likely be available in the US, China, and India.

Despite these regional differences in processors, other specifications remain the same across all global regions. The Galaxy S23 FE will come with 8GB of RAM and a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. It will also feature a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP secondary camera, and an 8MP tertiary sensor on the back. The front-facing camera will be a 10MP lens. Additionally, the device will have a 4,500mAh battery with 25W charging capabilities and will run on Android 13 out of the box, with an Android 14 update expected in the future.

As for the design, the Galaxy S23 FE’s aesthetics have been leaked in great detail, showcasing its resemblance to the A54-inspired design. With all these leaks and rumors, we are eagerly waiting for Samsung to make an official announcement and put an end to the speculation.

While the price of the Galaxy S23 FE 5G has not been officially confirmed, the device is expected to come in 128GB and 256GB storage configurations. As for the release date, we are still unsure when it will hit the market.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE as we eagerly wait for its official debut.
