X is rolling out exciting new search filters for premium iOS users to enhance their experience on the platform. Designed by Andrea Conway, these filters allow users to sort through posts based on criteria like date, language, location, post activity, and more.
This latest update showcases X’s commitment to providing convenience and customization for its premium subscribers. Similar to recent updates like audio and video calls, these search filters will initially be exclusive to paying users before potentially expanding to all users in the future.
Under Elon Musk’s leadership, X is evolving into an “everything app” similar to WeChat, combining instant messaging, social media, and mobile payment functionalities. The platform recently obtained a money-transmitter license in preparation for introducing new payment features.
To stay competitive with video streaming services, X is also working on a feature that allows users to resume videos where they left off, akin to YouTube Premium’s functionality.
Despite claims from X’s CEO about 500 million monthly active users, third-party data analytics firms estimate a lower figure of around 368 million. Since going private after Elon Musk’s acquisition, X no longer publicly discloses user data, making it challenging to verify these numbers independently.
Stay tuned for more updates as X continues to innovate and improve the user experience for its growing user base.
