Exciting News: Android 15 Beta 3 Now Available for Users, Bringing Platform Stability!

Google has recently unveiled the third beta version of its upcoming mobile operating system, Android 15. This latest beta release, known as Beta 3 (build AP31.240517.022), marks a significant milestone towards the official launch of Android 15 later this year. With “Platform Stability” achieved, developers can now conduct final compatibility testing to ensure their apps are fully prepared for the official release.

According to Google’s release notes, Beta 3 introduces several new features and changes, along with fixes for issues identified in previous versions. Some key highlights of this beta release include:
– Integration with Credential Manager for autofill
– Single-tap sign-up and sign-in with biometric prompts
– Deprecation of WebSQL in Android WebView

In addition to these new features, Beta 3 also addresses various issues found in earlier betas, such as problems with Bluetooth LE scans and connections, the Android Emulator, and the system sharesheet. Here are some of the fixes included in this release:
– Disabling polling using the setDiscoveryTechnology method now works properly
– The system sharesheet now loads correctly in all cases
– The system Settings app no longer crashes when accessing screen saver options

Android 15 Beta 3 is now available for a wide range of Pixel devices, including Pixel Fold, Pixel 8a, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel Tablet, and more. Users enrolled in the Android Beta Program will receive an over-the-air (OTA) update to Beta 3 automatically.

However, since Android 15 is still actively under development, some apps may not function as expected. Users are encouraged to report any issues they encounter through the Android Beta Feedback app or by posting to the Android Beta community. While Google has not yet announced an official release date for Android 15, it is anticipated to be launched later this year.

Stay tuned for more updates on Android 15 as we approach its official release!
