Exciting News for North Saanich and Victoria: Tesla Supercharger Expansion • Phones Canada Blog

Phones Canada is excited to share the news that Tesla is expanding its Supercharger network in Greater Victoria on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The new Supercharger station will be located in North Saanich, approximately 30 km north of Downtown Victoria.

Here are some key details about this exciting development:

– The new Superchargers will be installed at the Sandown Park Shopping Centre, featuring 16 new stalls along McDonald Park Road.
– Sandown Park was historically known for its horse racing track and currently houses a Canadian Tire store. The shopping centre is undergoing expansion to include a Red Barn supermarket, Dollarama, a liquor store, and a cannabis store.
– The new Superchargers are expected to be Tesla’s latest V3 or V4 models. This upgrade will provide faster and more efficient charging compared to the older urban models at Uptown Shopping Centre.
– The strategic placement of the new Supercharger at Sandown will benefit travellers, especially those using B.C. Ferries. Drivers can conveniently charge their vehicles before departing or upon arriving on the island from Vancouver and other locations.
– With the closest Supercharger to B.C. Ferries at Tsawwassen Mills shopping mall, this new location will offer a much-needed charging option for U.S. travellers using the Washington State Ferry service.

In addition to expanding its charging network, Tesla has also opened its first delivery and service centre in Victoria, located in Langford.
