HMD Global, the manufacturer behind Nokia phones, has been gradually rolling out Android 14 updates to its devices. Despite initially planning to update only one handset, the Nokia G42 5G, the company has now extended the update to two more models – the Nokia X30 and Nokia G60.
Recently, reports have surfaced that users in Taiwan are receiving the Android 14 updates for the Nokia X30 and Nokia G60. These updates not only include the latest security patch from February but also all the new features and improvements that come with Android 14.
While HMD Global has remained tight-lipped about specific changes in these updates beyond what Android 14 offers, users can expect an enhanced user experience and improved performance on their devices.
With only three smartphones receiving Android 14 updates so far, it’s clear that HMD Global still has a long way to go in updating its extensive lineup of Nokia phones. However, there is hope that more devices will receive the update in the near future.
Despite recent announcements that HMD Global will transition away from releasing Nokia-branded phones, users can still look forward to continued support for existing devices and potential updates down the line. Stay tuned for more information on upcoming software updates for Nokia phones.
