Exciting Update: Google Keep to Introduce Window Resizing Feature for Mobile Phones in Canada!

Google Keep, the popular note-taking app by Google, may soon introduce a new feature that could revolutionize the user experience on foldable devices and tablets. A recent APK breakdown has uncovered a work-in-progress feature within the app’s code, hinting at resizable windows coming to Google Keep. This update would allow users to adjust the size of the Google Keep window on their mobile devices to suit their preferences.

This potential change is especially exciting for users who rely on Google Keep on larger screens or unique form factor devices. Currently, the mobile app only offers limited window size options – default size or fullscreen mode. The addition of a resizing feature would bring it closer to the desktop app’s functionality, where a workaround extension already exists for this purpose.

The discovery of this upcoming feature came after activating a hidden feature flag in version 5.24.222.01.90 of the Google Keep app. This revealed a new sliding pane layout that enables users to freely adjust the window size, similar to how it works in the Google Calendar app. It seems like Google is planning to extend this capability to Google Keep, initially targeting devices with a display density exceeding 600 pixels per inch.

While this news is certainly exciting for many Google Keep users, it’s essential to keep in mind that features uncovered through code teardowns may not always make it to the final release. There’s a possibility that Google might decide against rolling out this feature in the end. Nevertheless, this discovery offers a glimpse into the potential future of Google Keep, where users could have more control over their note-taking experience across various devices.

We are eagerly anticipating further updates from Google regarding this potential feature. If it gets implemented, it could significantly enhance the usability and versatility of Google Keep for a broader audience of users. For now, we will be keeping an eye out for any new developments and hoping for the best!
