Extended Return Policy for Apple Products during the Holidays
It’s that time of the year again when we turn back the clocks as Daylight Savings Time comes to an end. And it’s also the time when Apple announces its extended return policy for the holiday season. Normally, Apple offers a 14-day return window for products purchased online or at an Apple Store. However, this year, Apple has revised its Returns & Refunds support page and has extended the return period for products bought between November 3, 2023, and December 25, 2023.
But before you get too excited, there’s one important thing to note. The extended return policy does not apply to carrier-financed iPhones purchased from the online Apple Store or physical Apple Stores. These iPhones are subject to the standard 14-day return policy. Additionally, any purchases made after December 25th are also subject to the standard return policy.
Keep in mind that wireless carriers have their own service-cancellation policies. Returning your iPhone or iPad may not automatically cancel or reset your wireless account. So, make sure to contact your provider for more information regarding your wireless service agreement and any applicable fees.
Please remember that this extended return policy only applies to items purchased directly from Apple, either online or at an Apple Store. If you’ve bought Apple products from other retailers, you must adhere to their respective return procedures. Apple emphasizes the importance of including all cords, adapters, and documentation that came with the product when you first opened it.
All other terms and conditions mentioned in the Apple Online Store Sales and Refunds Policy remain applicable. If you’re unsure whether you’ll return a recently purchased device, keep it in like-new condition to ensure eligibility for the extended return period. The products eligible for the extended return policy include the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, HomePod, HomePod mini, Macs, and Apple TV.
Software can also be returned as long as it hasn’t been installed on any computer. It’s worth noting that software with a printed license may not be eligible for return if the seal or sticker on the packaging is broken.
This extended return policy is available in the following countries: U.S., Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, and Singapore. Customers in Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Japan have an even longer extended return period. In these countries, products purchased between November 3, 2023, and January 6, 2024, may be returned through January 20, 2024.
