I think it’s safe to say that Phones Canada’s favorite sports series in the video game industry is Electronic Arts’ FIFA. This year, the name changed due to a disagreement over the license cost, but the series still maintains its popularity among soccer fans because it faces no competition. While there is already a FIFA Mobile game for both Android and iOS, EA has announced another soccer title that ventures into a completely different genre: turn-based strategy.
Introducing EA Sports FC Tactical, EA’s new mobile game that combines interactive simulation with strategic, turn-based gameplay. FC Tactical offers players access to over 5,000 authentic players from more than 10 top leagues, including the Premier League, LALIGA EA SPORTS, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and Serie A.
In FC Tactical, all matches are simulated and players have turn-based options to defend, attack, perform skill moves, and make attempts on target. It may sound a bit unusual on paper, but I’m really curious to see how EA has managed to transition from simulation to turn-based action while keeping it fun and engaging.
EA has announced that FC Tactical will be available in early 2024 on Android and iOS. Fans can already pre-register for the game through the Google Play and App Store. Although the game will be free-to-play, we anticipate a monetization system to be in place once it goes live. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting addition to the FIFA series!
