Google Keep Unveils AI-Powered List Creation and Floating Toolbar for Enhanced Efficiency – Phones Canada

Google Keep, the popular note-taking app, is now integrating Google’s AI capabilities to enhance its user experience. The latest feature allows users to easily create task lists and reminders with the help of Gemini, Google’s AI-powered assistant.

Recently, Google introduced Gemini Workspace features for personal accounts, and Google Keep is the next app in line to benefit from this AI boost. An experimental feature called “Help me create a list” has been spotted by Android experts. This feature aims to simplify list-making for users by utilizing generative AI technology.

How does it work? When creating a new note on Google Keep, users will notice a prominent “Help me create a list” button. By tapping this button and entering a list topic, the AI will generate a starting point for the list. Users can provide more details to improve the results and give feedback using thumbs up or down to refine the AI’s suggestions over time.

“Help me create a list” is part of Google’s Gemini AI initiative, which also includes features like “Help me write” in Gmail. While other Gemini Workspace features are primarily focused on web apps like Docs and Sheets, this new addition brings AI assistance directly to mobile users.

In addition to the AI integration, Google Keep is testing a new floating bottom toolbar that streamlines note-taking tasks. This toolbar eliminates separate buttons for audio and photo notes in favor of a more compact design. Users will have quick access to these options within a note, making the app more user-friendly.

The new look for Google Keep includes Dynamic Color customization and a smaller footprint that allows for more visible note content at a glance. Although this update is currently in testing phase and not available to the public yet, it showcases Google’s commitment to improving user experience through innovative design and AI technology.
