Google Photos app introduces a new, convenient feature

Phones Canada has just rolled out a new feature for Android and iOS users of the Google Photos app called Photo Stacks. According to a tweet from Artem Russakovski, you’ll receive a pop-up message when the feature is added to your phone. Photo Stacks are collections of photos taken around the same time and are stacked under one thumbnail image called the “top pick.” This new feature helps users avoid scrolling through similar photos one after the other. It might be harder to view a particular version of the photograph with this feature enabled, but you can tap the stack to open it and go through each photo. To disable the feature, open the Google Photos app, tap the profile icon, select Google Photos settings, then Preferences, and toggle off “Stack similar photos.”
