Google’s pre-order gift for non-Pro Pixel 8 leaked once more

Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro pre-order details leaked

If you’re a fan of Google’s ecosystem and considering purchasing both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro this fall, we have some exciting news for you. New details have emerged about the pre-order bundles for these highly anticipated devices.

Last year, customers who pre-ordered the Pixel 7 directly from Google received store credit that could be used towards discounted accessories. This time around, early adopters of the Pixel 8 will receive a free pair of Pixel Buds Pro instead of a store voucher. The Pixel Buds Pro are Google’s premium noise-cancelling earbuds, valued at $200.

In addition to the Pixel Buds Pro, it is rumored that the Pixel 8 Pro will come bundled with a free Pixel Watch 2. This watch is expected to retail for around $350, surpassing the value of the store credit offered with last year’s Pixel 7 Pro pre-orders.

The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are rumored to start at $699 and $899, respectively. This pricing strategy sets the smaller model apart from its predecessor, the Pixel 7, while positioning the larger variant at the same price point as the Pixel 7 Pro.

It seems like nearly every detail about the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro has already been leaked, leaving little surprise for their official announcement. However, it is expected that Google will confirm the 120Hz AMOLED display on the non-Pro Pixel 8, along with a slightly smaller screen size and an improved battery. The dual rear-facing cameras are also anticipated to remain unchanged.

The Pixel 8 Pro’s upgrade to a 48MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and the addition of a skin temperature sensor will likely be officially confirmed during the announcement. However, the usefulness and accuracy of the temperature sensor are up for debate.

Both devices will feature Google’s Tensor G3 processor and offer unparalleled software support, which has become a selling point for Pixel phones. Google’s camera technology, along with its commitment to continuous improvement, is another reason why the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are highly anticipated.

Stay tuned for the official announcement of these devices, which is just around the corner.
