Latest beta updates for WhatsApp on Android reintroduce Muted Updates and Channel Polls

WhatsApp has been introducing new features and updates to improve the user experience. The recent beta updates for Android have brought back Muted updates and introduced the ability to create and share polls within Channels.

Muted updates were brought back in version v2.23.24.11 of the Android beta app, making it more convenient for users to access them directly in the main Updates tab. Additionally, version v2.23.24.12 introduces the ability to create and share polls within Channels, similar to the polls feature available in one-on-one and group chats.

The feature within Channels is limited to one choice per user to prevent spamming and ensure accurate poll results. Furthermore, Channel polls are anonymous, protecting the privacy of users.

These new features can be used for a variety of purposes, such as gathering feedback from community members or running contests and giveaways. The return of Muted updates is also a welcome change for users who prefer to keep their status updates muted, as it allows them to view all muted status updates in one place without navigating through multiple menus.

Although these features are currently only available to a limited number of users using the beta app, they are expected to roll out to the stable public app in the near future. Source – WaBetaInfo
