Leaked Pixel 9 Pro renders reveal unexpected design changes ahead of schedule

Google has given the Pixel 9 Pro a new and sleeker look compared to its predecessor. The phone features a flat screen with thinner bezels and flat frames, giving it a sharper appearance. It is said to measure 162.7 x 76.6 x 8.5 mm (12.0 mm including the camera bump), making it slightly thicker than the Pixel 8 Pro.

The leak suggests that the Pixel 9 Pro will have a 6.5-inch screen, making it smaller than the Pixel 8 Pro’s 6.7-inch panel. However, this could be an error in reporting as the overall dimensions have not changed significantly.

One major change in the Pixel 9 Pro is the new camera island design, which seems to be inspired by the Pixel Fold. The phone is rumored to have a large main sensor, leading to speculation that it might feature a variable aperture camera system for improved picture quality with less noise.

Additionally, the SIM card tray has been relocated to the right of the USB-C port, giving the phone a fresh and updated look. While the overall design still maintains the signature Pixel aesthetic with a horizontal camera bar, the flat sides give it an iPhone-esque appearance.

It’s worth noting that the leak suggests the possibility of an earlier launch for the Pixel 9 Pro compared to its predecessor, which was announced in October. However, this information should be taken with a grain of salt as no official sources have confirmed it.
