The OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R are set to be launched globally in just a few days and leaks are surfacing at an increasing rate. The OnePlus 12R, previously known as the OnePlus Ace 3, has been gaining a lot of attention, especially after its debut in China.
Recently, well-known leaker Roland Quandt has shared what seem to be official renders of the OnePlus 12R in black and blue. These renders provide a comprehensive 360-degree view of both color options, revealing that the design holds no surprises at this point. While it is noted that the images show the European version of the OnePlus 12R, it is expected that similar models will be available in other regions as well.
The OnePlus 12R shares many design elements with its flagship sibling, the OnePlus 12. It features a curved screen with a centrally placed camera hole and slim bezels, giving it a sleek appearance. The physical buttons are located on the right side of the phone, while the alert slider maintains the OnePlus design tradition by being positioned on the left.
Despite their similar external appearances, the OnePlus 12R and OnePlus 12 have distinct features under the hood. The OnePlus 12R is expected to come equipped with a 6.78-inch 2780 x 1264 LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It boasts a 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging for quick power-ups and is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera using Sony’s IMX890 sensor, along with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel macro shooter.
Rumors suggest that the OnePlus 12R will be priced at $499 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model, and $599 for the 16GB/256GB variant. The global launch of the smartphone is set for January 23, with availability expected in the US and Europe.
