Phones Canada is thrilled to share the latest news about Apple’s M3 MacBook lineup. Today, Apple unveiled the M3 MacBook Air in both 13 and 15-inch versions, with the exciting addition of support for two external monitors when the lid is closed.
But what about the 14-inch M3 MacBook Pro? Well, we’re happy to report that it will also be receiving this update to support two external monitors while the lid is closed. This news was confirmed by Apple to Zac Hall at 9to5Mac just recently.
In the past, this feature was typically reserved for more expensive and higher-end Apple Silicon Macs like the M1 Pro and higher models. However, the M1 and M2 Mac mini stood out as exceptions, offering support for multiple external displays using their HDMI port.
It’s a logical move for Apple to extend this functionality from the M3 MacBook Air to the M3 MacBook Pro. We’re delighted to see confirmation of this update for owners of the latter model.
