Phones Canada is excited to announce that more models in the Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy S22 series are now receiving the latest update from Samsung. This update brings new camera features to both the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22 lines. For the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, the firmware version for this update is S91*BXXU3AWGJ.
The update for the Galaxy S23 line includes several enhancements for the camera system. These include an optimized 2x zoom option, improved high-pixel modes for the 200MP and 50MP cameras, enhanced focusing capabilities, improved digital zoom, and better Portrait videos with support for 30fps recording. Additionally, this update improves the quality of Motion photos, enhances face shape correction on selfies, and more.
As for the Galaxy S22 series, the firmware version for this update is S90*BXXU6CWH5. This update specifically focuses on improving the camera performance in low-light environments. Users can expect enhanced photos and videos when capturing moments in challenging lighting conditions.
It’s worth noting that the One UI 6/Android 14 beta is currently being rolled out to select markets for the Galaxy S22 line. This exciting update will also be expanded to last year’s flagship series, the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Countries such as India, Poland, China, and the U.K. will be among the first to receive this update. Furthermore, the Galaxy S23 series is expected to be the first to receive the stable version of Android 14, possibly as early as October, followed by the Galaxy S22 series. By the end of the year, both the Galaxy S23 and S22 lines should be running on Android 14.
Samsung follows a consistent update schedule where the current flagship series receives updates first, followed by the previous year’s flagship models, and then the latest foldable phones. However, it’s important to remember that the One UI 6/Android 14 beta is still a beta version. This means that the software may have some instability issues. Therefore, if you heavily rely on your Galaxy handset for daily tasks, it is recommended to consider the possible compatibility issues with certain apps before installing the beta version.
