The upcoming iPhone SE 4 has been generating quite a buzz lately as the next budget-friendly offering from Apple. It is expected to bear a resemblance to the basic iPhone 14 model, but with a notable exception – a single camera on the back of the phone.
The concept render of the iPhone SE 4 created by 4RMD shows a design similar to the iPhone 14, complete with the TrueDepth Camera notch at the top of the screen. This would mark the first SE model to feature the notch.
One significant change is the rear camera setup, with the iPhone SE 4 sporting a single 48MP camera capable of recording 4K video. Other anticipated photography features include Night Mode, Macro photography for extreme close-ups, and Cinematic Mode for recording videos with a shallow depth of field and focus transitions.
The concept also envisions a 6.1-inch OLED display and a 3240mAh battery for the iPhone SE 4, a slight decrease from the iPhone 14’s 3279mAh battery capacity but a significant improvement from the 2018mAh capacity of the iPhone SE 3.
Another surprising rumor is that the iPhone SE 4 might include the Action Button found on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, offering users the ability to customize the function of the button. This feature is missing on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The concept render also includes the new USB-C charging port and suggests that the phone will charge to 50% in just 30 minutes. Additionally, it is speculated that the iPhone SE 4 will be powered by the 4nm A16 Bionic chipset, the same one that currently drives the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
As for the release date, the designer of the concept render teased a fictional November 2024 launch date, along with a hypothetical price tag of $499. This might be an interesting device to keep an eye on, especially considering that the iPhone SE 3 was initially launched at a price of $429 in March 2022.
