New Pokemon GO update allows players to team up and party together

Developer Niantic has recently announced a new feature for Pokemon GO called Party Play. This feature allows up to four Trainers who are at least level 15 to form a party and tackle challenges together in a shared in-game experience. The best part is that players will be able to see each other’s avatars on their in-game maps.

To host a party, simply open the game and go to your Trainer profile. Then, tap on the new Party tab and select Create to receive a numerical or QR code that can be shared with up to three nearby Trainers. On the other hand, if you want to join a party, open the game, go to your Trainer profile, tap on the Party tab, choose Join Party, and either scan the host’s QR code or enter a numerical code manually.

Once a party is formed, players can choose which Party Challenge they want to take on. These challenges can include tasks like spinning PokeStops, battling raids, and catching Pokemon. Completing Party Challenges will earn players in-game rewards.

It’s important to note that when a party challenges a raid, they will receive a bonus called Party Power. This bonus doubles the damage of their next Charged Attack and charges with every Fast Attack.

However, it’s unfortunate that players can only join a party with nearby players. Niantic encourages Trainers to go outside and play, which is why the feature doesn’t support parties with distant friends.

Party Play will start rolling out globally today, so make sure to update your game on both Android and iOS devices to enjoy this new feature. Get ready to team up with fellow Trainers and conquer challenges together in Pokemon GO!
