For those enrolled in the beta program, even more new features are on the way. While they may not be fully functional yet, it’s a great sneak peek into what’s to come.

In the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.13.6, a new feature allows users to transfer chat history without relying on Google Drive. This feature, discovered by WABetaInfo, is not available for testing just yet but shows WhatsApp’s commitment to improving user experience.

The screenshot shared by WABetaInfo reveals that WhatsApp plans to eliminate the need for Google Drive when transferring chat history to a new phone. Although this feature is currently only visible in the Android version of the app, iOS users can expect similar updates in the future.

Currently, transferring chat history from old devices can be a cumbersome process for both Android and iOS users. This new feature aims to simplify the transfer process by eliminating unnecessary steps, making it easier for users to seamlessly move their chat history to a new device.
