Phones Canada is excited to share that Google has just released the Android 15 Beta 2.1 update (AP31.240426.023) for eligible Pixel devices. This update may be minor, but it comes with a significant fix that addresses an issue where creating a private space on a device for the first time could lead to the removal of app icons from the home screen.

If you’ve been exploring the private space feature on your Pixel device for enhanced privacy and security, this news is sure to bring a smile to your face. The information about this update was shared on a Reddit post in the Android Beta subreddit, offering some helpful tips for users navigating the private space feature:

– If you’ve hidden your private space and can’t remember how to access it, simply type “Private Space” in the search bar.
– In case you forget the unlock factor for your private space, don’t worry! You can delete the private space from your settings menu using your device unlock factor.

The Android 15 Beta 2.1 update will be automatically pushed to devices enrolled in the Android Beta Program, including Pixel 8a, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7, Pixel 6a, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet. Devices running Android 14 QPR3 or earlier versions of Android 15 beta will also receive the update.
