Possible AI-Powered Camera Features Teased for Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Series

As we approach the end of 2023, there is much anticipation surrounding the release of upcoming smartphones. While some of the major launches, such as the iPhone 15 series and the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, have already taken place, the excitement continues. Samsung is set to unveil its next-gen Galaxy S24 Series in January 2024, and the buzz is growing.

Recently, Samsung showcased some impressive camera tricks in a video on YouTube (via Android Authority), giving us a glimpse of what to expect from their phones equipped with 200MP cameras and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform. These specifications strongly suggest that these features will be present in the Galaxy S24 series, possibly in the S24 Ultra.

One of the highlighted camera features is the ISOCELL Zoom Anyplace. Designed specifically for 200MP sensors, this technology utilizes proprietary AI tracking and Qualcomm’s AI engine on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform. Zoom Anyplace brings automatic zoom and subject tracking in videos, allowing for simultaneous capture of both zoomed-in and zoomed-out perspectives. The result is two 4K video views from a single camera, ensuring consistent colors and angles at 2x and 4x zoom lengths.

The Zoom Anyplace feature excels at real-time subject tracking, keeping a subject in focus as it moves within a scene. Additionally, it allows for flexible zooming in any direction while preserving 4K video resolution.

In addition to Zoom Anyplace, Samsung is introducing a new technology called E2E AI Remosaic. This promises faster image processing without compromising on quality, potentially speeding up image capture by up to 2x.

The integration of artificial intelligence in the Galaxy S24 series may extend beyond just the camera. Rumors suggest that the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra could be the “smartest AI phones ever.” Alongside the camera enhancements, these smartphones might incorporate features inspired by ChatGPT and Google Bard, giving users the ability to generate content based on keywords.

As we eagerly await the release of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, these camera features and AI capabilities certainly seem promising. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the launch date.
