Apple fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the new iPad Pro models, and it looks like the wait is almost over. After a year without launching a new tablet, Apple is preparing to reset its iPad offerings with the release of the new iPad Pro models.
According to TF International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, mass production of the new iPad Pro models is expected to take place late in Q1 or Q2. It is anticipated that the tablets will be equipped with the powerful M3 chips, providing a significant performance boost.
One of the notable changes expected in the new iPad Pro models is the repositioning of the front-facing camera to be at the top of the tablet in landscape mode. This will make it more convenient for users to unlock the tablet with Face ID and to use the camera for video conferencing when in landscape mode.
In addition to the iPad Pro models, Apple is also expected to release two new iPad Air tablets this year, one of which will have a larger 12.9-inch screen. There is also anticipation for new Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil accessories to be available this year.
TF International’s Kuo predicts that shipments of the new OLED iPad Pro models could reach 6 million to 8 million units this year, despite potential challenges such as higher pricing for the 2024 tablets and cannibalization by the new 12.9-inch iPad Air. With these exciting developments in the pipeline, Apple fans have a lot to look forward to in the tablet space.
