Samsung 2023 FE Phones and Tablets Anticipated for Q4 Launch, According to Tipster

According to a reliable source, Samsung is expected to launch two Fan Edition (FE) devices during the fourth quarter of this year. These devices include the Galaxy S23 FE, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus. The FE series offers similar designs to their flagship counterparts but at a more affordable price point.

The Galaxy S23 FE may feature the Exynos 2200 chipset in certain regions, while other markets, such as the U.S., might receive the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. It’s worth noting that neither of these chips is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 found in the flagship Galaxy S23 series. However, the Galaxy S23 FE is still a great option for those looking for a more budget-friendly device.

Rumored specifications for the Galaxy S23 FE include a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The rear camera setup is expected to consist of a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 12MP telephoto lens. Selfies and video chats can be captured using the 10MP front-facing camera. The device will be equipped with a 4500mAh battery that supports 25W charging.

As for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, it is rumored to come in two screen sizes: 10.9 inches and 12.4 inches, with the larger size reserved for the Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus model. Instead of AMOLED panels, Samsung might opt for LCD displays to improve profit margins.

Both tablets are expected to be powered by the Exynos 1380 chipset. The Exynos 1380 features a pair of Cortex-A78 performance CPU cores running at 2.4GHz and a pair of Cortex-A55 efficiency CPU cores running at 2.0GHz. While it may not be on par with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 found in Samsung’s flagship tablets, it still offers decent performance.

The camera setup on the back of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE will likely include a 13MP camera, with a 12MP selfie-snapper on the front. The model with 128GB of storage will come with 8GB of RAM, while the 256GB variant will boast 12GB of RAM. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus will feature a larger 12.4-inch display. There will be four different variants available: Galaxy Tab S9 FE, Tab S9 FE 5G, Tab S9 FE Plus, and Tab S9 FE Plus 5G. Each model will offer 8GB or 12GB RAM options.

According to the source, Samsung will release the Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE, and Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus during the fourth quarter. Additionally, there are rumors suggesting that Samsung will launch the SmartTag 2 item tracker at the same event. The SmartTag 2 is expected to utilize both Bluetooth and Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology to provide more precise location tracking.

As always, we’ll keep you updated with any further developments regarding these upcoming Samsung devices.
