Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 demonstrates impressive benchmark performance, nearly matching Apple M3 score

Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is set to be a powerhouse of a chipset, featuring Qualcomm’s own Oryon CPU cores. A recent Geekbench 6 benchmark test showed an impressive single-core score of 2845 and a multi-core score of 10628. This puts it in close competition with the Apple M3 chip, with only a hair’s difference in multi-core scores.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will be built by TSMC using its enhanced 3nm process node, promising high performance and efficiency. With a rumored AnTuTu score of 3,133,570, the possibilities for the Galaxy S25 Ultra next year are certainly exciting.

In comparison, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 AP, which is currently powering the Vivo X100 series, features a configuration of four Cortex-X4 prime CPU cores and four Cortex-A720 performance CPU cores. However, the upcoming Dimensity 9400 is expected to have an even more impressive configuration.

Overall, the benchmark results for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 are getting phone enthusiasts excited for the potential performance of upcoming flagship devices.
