The Apple Store is experiencing device shortages in anticipation of Tuesday’s event.

With Apple’s upcoming event, Apple Store locations are trying to decrease the stocks of certain devices in preparation for the release of new models. Store managers will have a conference call on Tuesday night following the event, leading to speculation that some of the new products announced on Tuesday might be available at Apple Stores the next day. It is considered rare for such a conference call to take place on the day of an event.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple Stores have low or no stock of the Apple Watch Ultra, indicating that a second-generation Apple Watch Ultra may be introduced at the event along with the Apple Watch Series 9. Other products with low inventories include watch bands, leather cases, MagSafe wallets, iPhone 12, 13 minis, and Pro phones.

Following the event on Tuesday, pre-orders for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max are expected to begin on Friday, September 15th, with a release date of September 22nd. The Apple Watch Series 9 and second-generation Apple Watch Ultra are likely to follow the same timeline.

While no surprises are anticipated at this stage, last year’s introduction of the Dynamic Island feature was unexpected. The design of the screen cutouts used for the feature was leaked in January 2022, but it was only during the event that Apple showcased how the cutouts would be utilized. Will history repeat itself? Stay tuned! Tuesday is just around the corner.
