Tinder is getting a fresh new look with updated profile and discovery features to better cater to the evolving connections of today’s daters. In an official blog post, Tinder announced the rollout of new features such as profile prompts, quizzes, basic info tags, and a dark mode to enhance user experience.
According to Mark Van Ryswyk, Tinder’s Chief Product Officer, the company recognizes the shift in priorities for the new generation of daters, placing value-based qualities such as respect and open-mindedness over looks. This shift has led to the introduction of these new features.
With the latest update, Tinder users can now use profile prompts to share responses like “The key to my heart is,” “The first item on my bucket list is,” and “Two truths and a lie.” Additionally, users can create quizzes about themselves to provide potential matches with insights. The option to share basic information through profile tags, covering interests, pets, drinking habits, and zodiac signs, has also been added to the app for user safety.
In addition to these new profile features, Tinder has updated its interface with new animations, including a revamped “It’s a Match!” screen, and has introduced a dark mode setting for late-night or discreet matching.
Prior to these updates, Tinder had incorporated AI features to help users select their best photo and introduced a feature allowing friends to play matchmakers by viewing and suggesting potential matches.
