Upgrade Your Older Pixel Phone with Google’s Circle to Search Feature – Phones Canada News

Google CEO Sundar Pichai recently announced on X that the innovative Circle to Search feature, powered by AI, will soon be available on more Pixel devices. This feature aims to simplify the search process by allowing users to search for content directly from their device screens without switching between applications.

Initially introduced in January, Circle to Search is currently only available on select Pixel models like the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 7A, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet. However, Google plans to expand this feature to older devices such as the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, as well as the budget-friendly Pixel 6A.

By offering users intuitive search capabilities, Google aims to enhance the search experience and make information more accessible. The Circle to Search feature allows users to initiate searches by circling, highlighting, or scribbling over content on their screens.

In an effort to further improve this functionality, Google is working on adding text translation directly on the screen. This update will eliminate the need for manual actions like copy-and-paste or app switching when translating text. Users will be able to seamlessly translate text for tasks like converting restaurant menus into different languages.

Not only is Google enhancing Circle to Search, but its strategic partner Samsung is also embracing this feature’s potential. Samsung plans to integrate Circle to Search into its Galaxy S23 lineup, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5 through a software update in the near future.

With these updates and expansions in functionality, both Google and Samsung are committed to providing users with a seamless and efficient search experience across their devices. Stay tuned for more exciting developments with Circle to Search on your favorite devices!
