Samsung has officially announced its entry into the world of AI for its smartphones during the Samsung AI Forum 2023, where it typically showcases its latest AI and computer engineering advancements. The first AI-based feature for the Samsung Galaxy line, called AI Live Translate Call, was confirmed. However, details about which Samsung Galaxy devices will receive this feature first and whether it will be a premium feature are still scarce. Upon reaching out to Samsung for more information, the company’s response only revealed that “Coming in early 2024, Galaxy AI will be available on our latest premium Galaxy devices.” Based on this, it is possible that the next Galaxy S24 Ultra could be the first device to receive these features, leaving older devices, such as the S23 family, out. It is also likely that Samsung may offer the AI features exclusively to newer devices at first, then eventually make them available to other devices in their lineup. As for whether these features will be locked behind a paywall, Samsung has only promised to share more information soon. For now, Samsung Galaxy fans are eagerly awaiting more details on these upcoming AI features.
