Apple Watch Survives 18 Months in Ocean – Unbelievable Video Story!

Apple’s Find My feature is a lifesaver when it comes to locating lost Apple devices like iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, Macs, AirPods, AirTags, and even some supported third-party accessories. One heartwarming story involves Jared Brick, who recovered his lost Apple Watch after a remarkable 18 months in the ocean!

Jared had bought two Apple Watches – one for himself and one for his son – for a family vacation celebrating his son’s 11th birthday. During their trip to the British Virgin Islands, Jared used his Apple Watch for scuba diving adventures, tracking his dives that went as deep as 100 feet underwater. The watch’s underwater capabilities were put to the test and it delivered flawlessly within its 164 feet depth limit.

On the final day of their vacation at The Baths on Virgin Gorda, while swimming and jumping off boulders, Jared realized his Apple Watch was missing. Using the Find My app on another Apple device, he reported it lost. Fast forward to December 2023 – Jared received an unexpected call from a local resident near Virgin Gorda who found his lost Apple Watch washed up on the beach.

The kind man who discovered the watch charged it up and saw Jared’s contact information displayed on the screen. He promptly reached out to Jared with a photo of the found watch. The watch was then shipped back to its grateful owner who never thought he’d see it again.

Jared Brick shared this incredible story through a YouTube video on his media company’s channel (Brick House Media). In the video, he expressed immense gratitude to Jonathan for finding and returning his lost Apple Watch. He also praised Apple for creating such amazing technology that actually works!

This heartwarming tale of loss and recovery showcases not only the power of technology but also the kindness of strangers. It’s stories like these that remind us of the positive impact technology can have on our lives.
