Apple is gearing up to release a range of new iPad models this year, including the highly anticipated 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro (2024) series, which will feature OLED panels for the first time. These new tablets will be powered by the cutting-edge 3nm Apple M3 SoC. Additionally, Apple is set to unveil a 10.9-inch iPad Air (2024) and introduce a brand new 12.9-inch iPad Air (2024) model, both equipped with the advanced 5nm Apple M2 chipset. Along with these new tablets, we can also expect improved accessories for the iPad Pro line, such as a new Magic Keyboard and an enhanced Apple Pencil.
If you’re eagerly awaiting the unveiling of these new tablets and accessories, you may be pleased to know that Apple is expected to announce them soon. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is unlikely to host a grand event for these product launches but will instead reveal them on its website through online videos and advertising campaigns. Despite the significant upgrades in the upcoming iPad models, including OLED panels in the top-of-the-line iPad Pro (2024) series, Apple believes that a more low-key announcement approach is sufficient.
As for when we can expect to see the new iPad Pro (2024) line and iPad Air (2024) tablets hit the market, industry experts suggest a release sometime this month or next month. There have also been rumors circulating about a seventh-generation iPad mini, although this particular tablet may not make its debut until later in the year.
The demand for iPads and other tablets surged during the pandemic as they became essential devices for remote learning and work-from-home setups. However, with the post-pandemic decline in demand for such devices, it will be interesting to see how consumers respond to Apple’s latest offerings after waiting a full year for these new models.
