Boost Your Videos Instantly: Android Google Photos Update Offers Easy Enhancement

The Pixel 8 Pro introduces a groundbreaking feature called Video Boost, which enhances videos by utilizing Google’s advanced technologies such as Night Sight, HDR, and Unblur. This feature elevates the quality of videos shot on a Pixel device to rival those shot on an iPhone, showcasing Google’s computational photography prowess in the realm of video content.

Google Photos users can look forward to a new enhancement feature for videos, similar to the existing photo enhancement option available on both Android and iOS versions of the app. This upcoming feature will allow users to improve their videos with just one tap, enhancing aspects like brightness, color, contrast, and overall quality with ease.

Unlike the cloud-based processing of Video Boost, Google Photos’ video enhancement feature will operate on-device. Depending on the video’s length and your device’s capabilities, the enhancement process may take some time, particularly on lower-end Android devices. Additionally, any video not stored in Google Photos will need to be downloaded before enhancement can take place.

It’s worth noting that this exciting new feature is still in development and may not be immediately available to all users. However, there is speculation that it could be previewed at the upcoming Google I/O event on May 14th.

Stay tuned for more updates on this innovative addition to Google Photos that promises to streamline the video enhancement process for users across different devices. Exciting times lie ahead for Pixel users and photography enthusiasts alike!
