SaskTel Reaches Milestone: Half of Provincial Wireless Network Upgraded to 5G
Since the launch of its 5G network in parts of Regina in late 2021, SaskTel, Saskatchewan’s crown corporation, has achieved a significant milestone. Over the weekend, SaskTel announced that it has now upgraded half of its provincial wireless network to 5G technology. This upgrade includes more than 520 cell sites and covers nearly 85% of Saskatchewan residents.
Minister Responsible for SaskTel, Dustin Duncan, expressed excitement about the progress made by SaskTel in bringing the speed and power of its 5G network to the people of Saskatchewan.
