Casio has announced the latest addition to its Master of G lineup, the GWG-B1000. This ultra-rugged timepiece is designed to withstand dust and mud, and is crafted with a solid metal construction for a powerful look. Casio has implemented protector parts at the 12 and 6 o’clock positions to ensure the watch glass remains intact. These parts are coated with a diamond-like carbon coating to enhance durability. The bezel shapes are created through a complex production process, and the front button guard is molded using metal injection molding. These techniques result in a watch that is both durable and visually appealing.
One of the standout features of the GWG-B1000 is that it is Casio’s first G-SHOCK equipped with a triple sensor, capable of measuring compass bearing, altitude/barometric pressure, and temperature. The watch also offers solar charging and radio wave reception, along with smartphone connectivity. Casio has developed a dedicated app that allows users to easily access useful features such as the Location Indicator and Mission Log, which records activity history.
Initially, the GWG-B1000 will be launched in Japan in October, with no specific details regarding pricing. However, the watch will be available in black, green, and red color options. Stay tuned for more information on its global availability and pricing.
