Clearing Out Old Recordings: Optimize Your iPhone Storage with Phones Canada

Bell Fibe TV Customers to Experience Reduced PVR Storage

In a recent update, Bell Fibe TV customers will now have their cloud-based PVR TV storage automatically deleted after 60 days, as opposed to the previous 365-day storage duration. This change may impact customers who are away for an extended period or unable to watch their recordings within the new timeframe.

According to a Bell spokesperson, the company anticipates minimal disruption for Fibe TV customers, as the majority of PVR recordings are typically viewed within 60 days. While specific data on this was not disclosed by Bell, it aims to streamline its storage capacity and reduce costs associated with cloud-based PVR recordings.

Comparatively, Rogers Ignite offers a one-year PVR storage duration and has confirmed no plans to alter this timeframe. The purpose of this longer storage period is to assist in managing storage capacity efficiently.

By implementing this new policy, Bell aims to optimize its resources by reducing the amount of storage required for housing customer recordings on external servers. This strategic move allows Bell to cut costs and improve operational efficiency within its telecommunications services.
