Greetings Phones Canada Customers:
Over the past few months, we have undergone some major changes to both our operations, and to our commitment for a better customer experience. Some of you have witnessed this first hand, others, we hope, will come back for a glimpse of the good things to come.
Henry Mintzberg, a Canadian academic, an author on business management who emphasized the importance of emergent strategy wrote:
“Companies are communities. There’s a spirit of working together. Communities are not a place where a few people allow themselves to be singled out as solely responsible for success.”
Ok. Maybe some of you have never heard of him before but you may have heard this:
“The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.” Aristotle.
The current economic strains have put the secondary cell phone industry in an interesting situation, demand is higher than supply. What that has led to is an increase in price when things should be going down. When this will revert back to the norms is anybody’s guess.
We have contracted Solution Architects, Business Intelligence Engineers, Customer Experience Specialists to help us get ahead of this. They have reached out to our suppliers, our customers and even some larger companies, speaking with VPs and Presidents of those companies.
The consensus was that “if everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself.” Henry Ford.
Why are you telling me all this? Because by working together, we can leverage our power to secure better prices and more quantity. Opportunities have been presented to us however we have not fully been able to take advantage of them. I believe we have that opportunity right now, however the window is small.
A supplier reached out to us as we have made some inquiries regarding Iphones, older models and newer ones as well. What we want to do is bring those prices down. How much? As much as we possibly can.
What will that take? A big order. A really big order. I’m reaching out to you this morning with this agenda and request. Take a look at the spreadsheet provided. Look at the price but know that it can be better. It will be better.
Tell us what you want to pay, the quantity in the lot and we will have someone reach out to you if we think it’s possible. Once we have the numbers that our consultant feels he can leverage, he will begin negotiations with the supplier on “OUR” behalf, the Phones Canada Community.

This is an opportunity to get almost exclusivity with this supplier but as mentioned before, we have a small window to make this happen. We have until Thursday 9am when they open. Thats when we have to call him back.
