Phones Canada Team brings you exciting news from the future! According to renowned leakers Steve Hemmerstoffer and Ice Universe, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to be unveiled in early 2024. While these leaks should still be taken with a grain of salt, they provide us with valuable insights into the dimensions, weight, screen size, resolution, battery capacity, and charging speed of the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra.
Starting with the Galaxy S24, it appears that the external design won’t be drastically altered from its predecessor, the S23. However, we can expect some subtle improvements. The S24 is anticipated to feature sharper corners and a slightly larger 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, providing a tad more screen real estate. The resolution is likely to remain around 2340 x 1080 pixels, delivering a vibrant and crisp visual experience. The product weight, profile, and 25W charging support are expected to remain unchanged, while the battery capacity will increase from 3,900mAh to 4,000mAh. Additionally, the width will be reduced from 70.9mm to 70.6mm, and the height will increase from 146.3mm to 147mm. Notably, the maximum screen brightness will receive a significant upgrade from 1750 to 2500 nits.
Moving on to the Galaxy S24 Plus, Samsung seems to have similar plans for this model. The S24 Plus is rumored to feature a larger battery capacity, jumping from 4,700mAh to around 4,900mAh. The device will also offer a slightly larger screen size, all while maintaining the same 45W charging speeds and WQHD+ display resolution as its predecessor. The brightness will also be enhanced to reach 2500 nits, matching the non-Plus S24 model. In terms of dimensions, the S24 Plus will have measurements of approximately 158.5 x 75.9 x 7.7mm, which is not a significant departure from the S23 Plus. The weight will also be reduced by one gram, despite the increase in screen size and battery capacity.
For the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the leaks suggest that there won’t be any major changes in terms of size and weight. With a rumored switch from aluminum to titanium for the body, the S24 Ultra is expected to maintain a weight of around 233 grams, slightly lighter than its predecessor. The screen size will remain at 6.8 inches, accompanied by a 5,000mAh battery capacity and 45W charging capabilities. The overall height will be reduced from 163.4mm to 162.3mm, the width will increase from 78.1mm to 79mm, and the depth will decrease from 8.9mm to 8.6mm. Like its siblings, the S24 Ultra will boast a top screen brightness of 2500 nits, surpassing many flagship devices on the market.
Overall, the leaks suggest that Samsung’s Galaxy S24 lineup will bring incremental improvements and enhancements across the board. Although these leaks cannot be confirmed at this stage, they offer an exciting glimpse into what we can expect from Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphones.
