Enhanced AI Models for Enterprises on Google Cloud • Latest Updates from iPhone in Canada Blog

Google has recently announced significant updates to Vertex AI, their suite of AI models and technologies designed for enterprise customers. These updates are aimed at helping organizations create transformative experiences with enterprise-ready generative AI.

The latest improvements focus on several key AI models:

– Gemini 1.5 Flash: This upgraded version is now generally available to all Vertex AI users, offering low latency, competitive pricing, and a groundbreaking 1 million-token context window. It is suitable for various use cases at scale, from retail chat agents to document processing.
– Gemini 1.5 Pro: This model, with a massive 2-million token context window, is capable of handling unique multimodal use cases that other models cannot. Both Gemini 1.5 Pro and Flash now offer context caching for lower cost and higher speed.
– Imagen 3: A new iteration of Google’s image generation model that is over 40% faster than its predecessor. It features better prompt understanding, photo-realistic generations, multi-language support, and safety features like digital watermarking.
– Gemma 2: A lightweight open model available in 9-billion (9B) and 27-billion (27B) parameter sizes will be accessible to researchers and developers worldwide next month. It offers significant safety advancements built-in.

Additionally, Google has introduced Grounding with Google Search as part of Vertex AI services to reduce model hallucinations by backing up Gemini model outputs with data from Google Search for fresh and accurate information.

Moreover, starting next quarter, customers can ground their AI agents with third-party data from partners like Moody’s, MSCI, Thomson Reuters, and Zoominfo through Vertex AI services. There will also be a “Grounding with High-Fidelity” mode generating responses exclusively from provided context.

Testimonials from existing Vertex AI customers such as UberEats, Ipsos, Jasper, Shutterstock, and Quora highlight how they are utilizing these models and tools to develop their own AI agents and applications.

Stay tuned for more updates on these innovative advancements in the world of artificial intelligence!
