Enhanced Fullscreen Video Experience: Facebook Introduces Exciting New Controls

Facebook has recently announced significant changes to its video player design, aimed at enhancing user experience. The updated fullscreen video player on Facebook will now feature new controls, making it more intuitive and easier to navigate.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, is striving to consolidate Reels, longer videos, and Live content into one seamless fullscreen experience. The most notable change is that tapping on a video within the Facebook app will now display a fullscreen, vertically oriented video. Previously, the video player would switch between horizontal and Feed-like players based on the video’s length or where it was being viewed.

In addition to this revamp, Meta has improved the recommendations for videos of all lengths within the upgraded fullscreen video player. Users can expect new controls that will be gradually rolled out over the next few weeks. These controls allow viewers to customize their viewing experience by watching videos in their preferred orientation.

Some of the new controls include:
– A fullscreen option for most horizontal videos
– A slider for skipping around in longer videos
– The ability to tap on the video for additional options such as pausing and skipping forward or backward by 10 seconds

Furthermore, users can anticipate more relevant video recommendations on their Feed and Video Tab with this update. The enhanced video player is currently being introduced on iOS and Android devices in the United States and Canada, with a global release planned in the coming months.

Stay tuned for an improved and user-friendly video watching experience on Facebook!
