Sony is gearing up for its Xperia event on May 17, and while there may not be many surprises left, leaks have been flooding in, giving us a good look at what to expect from the upcoming Xperia phones.
The latest leak comes from the reputable tipster Evan Blass, who has shared images believed to be part of Sony’s promo campaign for the Xperia 1 VI. These images confirm some of the previous rumors surrounding the device, including changes to the camera setup and an increased telephoto lens range compared to its predecessor, the Xperia 1 V.
Rumors suggest that the Xperia 1 VI will come equipped with a large 5,000mAh battery, supporting both wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. Additionally, leaked images hint at features like streaming movies from Sony Pictures and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor under the hood.
For audio enthusiasts, the Xperia 1 VI is rumored to feature a high-performance audio chip and circuit tweaks for enhanced sound quality. Gaming fans might also find some exciting features like a 240Hz touch scanning rate, adjustable white balance, low gamma raiser, and FPS optimizer for smoother gameplay.
In addition to the flagship Xperia 1 VI, we can expect the Xperia 10 VI to make an appearance with a similar design but slightly thicker bezels. The camera island on this model appears to be downsized with just two cameras and a small LED flash.
As we approach the launch date for these devices, more leaks are likely to surface. Be sure to stay tuned for further updates on Phones Canada’s blog!
