Samsung is known for its high-end smartphones and tablets, but they also offer a range of budget-friendly devices like the Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A15. These two models have been popular enough to warrant sequels, with Samsung already working on the Galaxy A06 and Galaxy A16 for their 2025 lineup.
While it’s too early to know what upgrades the new models will bring, the current Galaxy A05 and A15 are still holding up well nearly a year after their release. The upcoming Galaxy A16 is rumored to have a 5G variant, but it’s uncertain if Samsung will also offer a non-5G version like they did with the Galaxy A15.
Interestingly, both the Galaxy A05 and A15 come with MediaTek chipsets. However, there’s speculation that Samsung might switch to using Qualcomm CPUs for the new models, potentially appealing more to tech-savvy users.
The Galaxy A05 was introduced last October with Android 13. It features a 6.7-inch HD+ display, dual cameras (50MP + 2MP), and a MediaTek Helio G85 processor with various RAM options. This phone also boasts a large 5,000 mAh battery and an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
On the other hand, the Galaxy A15 is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G99 processor with multiple RAM configurations. It offers an upgraded triple camera setup (50MP + 5MP + 2MP), a 13-megapixel front camera, and a similar 5,000 mAh battery capacity.
Stay tuned for more updates on Samsung’s budget-friendly lineup as we await the release of the Galaxy A06 and Galaxy A16 in the coming years!
