Exciting Update: Google Enhances Search Experience on Desktop and Mobile Devices

Google is making a significant change to its search results page, both on desktop and mobile devices. Instead of the continuous scrolling feature that users are used to, Google is introducing a new way to navigate through search results.

Here’s what you need to know about the changes:

– Users will no longer be able to scroll continuously through search results on desktop and mobile.
– On desktop, users will now see a “Next” button at the bottom of the page to view more results.
– Mobile users will have a “More results” button instead of infinite scrolling.
– Google’s decision to make this change is aimed at delivering search results faster and more efficiently.
– The company found that infinite scrolling did not necessarily lead to higher satisfaction rates among users.

If you own a website and your site doesn’t appear on the first page of search results, this change could potentially impact your site traffic. Users will now have to actively click on the “Next” or “More results” button to see additional pages beyond the first one.

Additionally, Google will be reintroducing pagination controls for desktop users, allowing them to jump directly to specific pages. This change is expected to roll out on mobile before the end of June.

Stay tuned for updates as these changes take effect.
