Apple is gearing up to release its latest iPad Pro models featuring OLED displays in April, according to Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, as reported by MacRumors. This exciting news comes after Mark Gurman from Bloomberg suggested that the new iPad Pro models might be delayed until later in April due to ongoing development of iPadOS 17.4.
Young predicts that we can expect to see the new iPad Pro models make their debut in late March or early April. Samsung is set to supply OLED displays for the 12.9-inch model, while both Samsung and LG will split supplies for the 11.1-inch iPad Pro. In addition to the new iPad Pro models, Apple is also rumored to unveil a larger 12.9-inch iPad Air for the first time.
The upcoming iPad Pro models are expected to feature an M3 chip, along with new design updates such as a slimmer profile, a landscape-oriented front camera, a revised rear camera layout, and possibly even MagSafe wireless charging. Rumors also suggest a new Magic Keyboard with a larger trackpad and an updated Apple Pencil may be in the works.
On the other hand, the iPad Air models are said to come equipped with Apple’s M2 chip. Unlike previous launches, there won’t be a special event for these new iPads; instead, Apple is likely to announce them via press release similar to how they introduced the new M3 MacBook Airs recently.
Exciting times are ahead for Apple fans as they eagerly anticipate the arrival of these highly anticipated new iPad models!
