Key details about the Wealthsimple Visa Infinite card include:
– Eligibility criteria: Canadian residents (excluding Quebec) who are of legal age, with a personal income of $60,000 or a household income of $100,000, and an active Wealthsimple Cash account.
– Cashback rewards: Earn up to 2% cashback on the first $3,000 spent per statement period and 1% on subsequent purchases (excluding certain transactions).
– Annual fee: $120 (monthly fee of $10), waived for Premium and Generation clients.
– Foreign transaction fee: 2.5% (Wealthsimple Cash Mastercard has 0% FX fees).
– Exclusive perks: Mobile device insurance for loss, theft, mechanical breakdown or accidental damage; purchase security covering new personal items against loss, damage or theft for 90 days; extended warranty doubling the repair period provided by the original manufacturer’s warranty.
While physical cards will be issued later this year, users can start using their digital cards with Apple Pay and Google Wallet support. Please note that ATM withdrawals will not be possible until physical cards are received.
Managing your Wealthsimple Visa card is seamless through the Wealthsimple app at launch. Payments can only be made from your Wealthsimple Cash account initially.
To apply for the Wealthsimple Visa card, simply access the Wealthsimple app and follow the steps under “Add An Account” to complete your application process.
