– One reader of iPhone in Canada was offered a $45/month 5G plan with 100GB of Canada-US talk, text, and data. This bring your own device plan also included a $60 bill credit to offset activation fees and was month-to-month with no expiry.
– The closest plan on the Rogers website is a $100/200GB Canada-US-Mexico plan with US roaming data included.
– One customer, Sean, left Rogers last October for Freedom Mobile but found the coverage lacking in the Windsor-Essex region of Ontario. He decided to take advantage of the Rogers ‘winback’ offer.
– The Freedom Mobile plan he left behind was a $45/50GB Canada-US plan, which is currently offered at $34/month on their website.
– While not everyone receives these ‘winback’ calls, those who do often find the offers tempting enough to consider returning.
