Expansion of Garmin’s ECG App to a Wide Range of Smartwatches

Garmin’s smartwatches are highly popular in the United States and Europe, and the multinational company is committed to keeping them updated. One area where Garmin smartwatches have lagged behind the competition is ECG support.

The ability to measure atrial fibrillation was previously limited to the Garmin Venu 2 Plus. However, Garmin has officially announced that the ECG app will be available for more Garmin smartwatches. If you own any of the models listed below, be on the lookout for an update that will introduce this new feature.

The ECG app is now available for the following Garmin smartwatches: epix Pro, Venu 3, and Fenix 7 Pro. While there are other Garmin smartwatches yet to receive the app, the company has stated its intention to expand the number of products supporting the ECG app and launch it in new regions once the necessary regulatory approvals are obtained, according to a statement provided to Android Central.

It’s important to note that the ECG app is currently only available in the United States. If you own one of the smartwatches mentioned above and reside in Europe, you will need to wait for the update to be rolled out in your region.
