Factory leak seems to confirm suspicions about Galaxy S24 Ultra

There are recent leaks circulating around the rumored Galaxy S24 launch date. One recent rumor suggested that the Galaxy S24 Ultra would keep its predecessor’s 10x periscope camera, but that was subsequently dismissed by another rumor from a reliable source. And now, new evidence has emerged suggesting that the phone will indeed ditch the 10x zoom camera.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra’s camera setup features a 200MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide shooter, a 10MP 3x telephoto camera, and a 10MP 10x periscope unit. This configuration places it among the top camera phones of 2023. However, subsequent rumors last September suggested that the Galaxy S24 Ultra would lose the 10MP 10x camera, to be replaced by a 50MP camera with 5x optical zoom.

Leaked image of the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s camera array shared by @chunvn8888 indicates that the phone does not have a 10MP 10x periscope camera. This might come as a disappointment to many, but the higher resolution of the 50MP camera will allow for more detailed recording.

Rumors also suggest that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will utilize sensor crop and digital zoom for a zooming range of 10x, despite not having a dedicated 10x periscope camera. Additionally, the phone is rumored to feature a 6.8-inch screen, titanium design, a 5,000mAh battery, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
