Getting ready to travel this holiday season? Your AirPods are in-flight compatible!

AirPods and in-flight entertainment: a perfect pair

A recent TikTok video showcased a passenger on a Delta flight pairing her AirPods with the seat back in-flight entertainment center. This feature allows users to use their AirPods while watching movies or programs during the flight. The video was taken by Elise Brulotte on a flight from Seattle to Honolulu aboard Delta’s Airbus A321neo, which was first put in service by the airline in May 2022.

In first class, the seat backs feature an entertainment center with a 13-inch high-definition touchscreen monitor. The system reportedly offers over 500 movies and television series. The plane itself has 194 seats, including 20 domestic first-class seats, 42 Comfort+ seats, and 132 main cabin seats.

Brulotte’s TikTok followers shared similar experiences on other airlines, expressing their satisfaction with the feature. It seems that pairing AirPods with the in-flight entertainment system via Bluetooth is easy and convenient. While this feature may not be a complete “game changer,” it certainly offers a more comfortable and personalized in-flight entertainment experience.

So, next time you fly, make sure your AirPods are charged and ready to go. You never know when you might be able to take advantage of this convenient feature. Happy flying!
