Google has officially confirmed Mint as a new color option for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. Both the Mint Pixel 8 Pro and Mint Pixel 8 come with all the Google AI features and are exclusive to the Google Store and Google Fi Wireless in the US. The new color will be available to US customers starting January 25, but it is limited to the 128GB storage option.
For fans of the regular Pixel 8, this is the first opportunity to get a color beyond the standard black, hazel, and rose gold choices available since the phone’s launch. The Pro model offers the more fun Bay blue color from the start. The Mint green color is described as a “breath of fresh air and a cool spring breeze” by Jenny Davis, a CMF (Colour, Material, and Finish) design manager at Google.
In addition to the new color release, Google has launched a new game called Kick, which allows anyone to play for fun, but there are substantial prizes for recent TeamPixel transfers in the UK. With each order, customers will get a unique QR code inviting them to play Kick with Pixel, offering the chance to win football tickets, shirts, and more.
The latest feature drop also brings new features to Pixel users, with some exclusive to the Pixel 8 series. Other features, like the Magic Compose feature and the built-in thermometer in the Pixel 8 Pro, are accessible to older Pixel devices as well. The Circle to Search feature, first seen on the Galaxy S24 series, is also making its way to the Pixel 8 series.
