iOS 17 Update Causes Widespread Apple Notes App Crashes: No Solution Yet

The Apple Notes app is a core application on iOS and a prime example of the power of the Apple ecosystem. It seamlessly syncs across iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices, supports various formatting styles, and best of all, it’s free to use.

However, following the release of iOS 17, an increasing number of users have reported that the Apple Notes app keeps crashing. Complaints have been piling up for months, with many users experiencing issues with iCloud sync. Turning off iCloud sync seems to temporarily resolve the problem for some users, but turning it back on causes the app to crash again.

This issue has persisted for more than five months for some users, and it’s particularly frustrating as note syncing is one of the main benefits of using Apple Notes in the first place.

Users have attempted various tactics to fix this issue, with a small number finding success by hard pressing on the app and taking a photo or scanning a document. Others have suggested deleting the app and reinstalling it. If you’re experiencing this issue, these methods might be worth trying.

Another option is to open a ticket with Apple support in hopes that the issue will be resolved by their engineers. Many users are eagerly awaiting a solution as they continue to experience disruptions in using their notes application.
